What To Expect From Story Sparks

If you’ve just come across my humble little website, you’re probably wondering, “What the what?” And believe me, both “what”s are valid. So, without further ado, let’s get you some answers.

While this blog was undoubtedly used to boost my experience as a writer by exposing me to new styles and types of writing, it was also initially launched as an output for some of those random fiction-related thoughts I tend to lose hours over mulling over. Say I just watched a new movie, and there’s this one plot thread, this one character, this one sequence I just cannot stop thinking of. I ask myself, “Should I write about this in my blog?” And, if the answer is yes, I begin the invention and development stages, eventually leading to either another scrapped attempt or a final post that winds up being published here on the site.

But wait, there’s more! While exposing yourself to good stories is absolutely part of being an ace storyteller, all that input is worth nothing without actually writing. Sometimes, whether I feel led to talk on what makes a gripping narrative, break down my favorite examples of a certain story element brought to life, or even something as simple as a certain aspect of the writing journey I’m struggling with, I’ll occasionally write about it here on the blog, whether through explicitly non-fiction formatted works or perhaps short story snippets.

And, last of all, as I continue delving into some of my lengthier, more in-depth projects, such as my novel-length Avengers fan-fiction, I’ll no doubt feel the need to tell you, my loyal companions, about my progress with these grander stories.

A big part of this blog is how I want to build my platform, by, yes, sharing my writing with you, the audience, but also, equally important, to connect with you, the audience.
